Shapcott's Room is the first room of this lovely old Heritage Council listed building to be restored and makes an ideal large space for conferences, workshops, community groups, interest groups
Set within the Tuart-Banksia woodlands of Yanchep National Park, the Gloucester Lodge is steeped in European history with many interesting stories to tell. Originally conceived as a pavilion to serve patrons of the swimming pool 'The Lodge' contained dressing rooms, a general store and accommodation. Construction commenced in 1932 and was completed in 1933. In 1939 the building was renamed Gloucester Lodge in honour of the Duke of Gloucester after his visit in 1934. Shapcott's Room was one of nine rooms added to Gloucester Lodge in 1938.
